The day at the State Fair

We used our free children's tickets and went to the state fair.  We packed our lunch and spent around $15 each on adult tickets, $30 on food and ride tickets, $5 on animal feed, and $15 for parking.  It was a fun thing to do (although very overpriced) and I am thrilled we didn't loose any children in the crowd.

Logan and his friend Maci enjoyed learning about the food groups and dairy products.
This was a fun activity for kids.  They pretend to be farmers and work on the farm.  Then they are paid a fake dollar for their "work" to buy something in the general store.
The kids and E rode the ferris wheel.  Everyone enjoyed it.
My favorite pumpkin carving at the fair- Ice Age characters.
The kids enjoyed feeding the animals.  The boys hopped around with the kangaroos.  I think they were the favorite of the day.  It was cool and early so there were not any unpleasant smells.

Although the day started off really rainy and cloudy, it turned out to be beautiful.

Indoor boogie boarding

Logan had a blast by himself.
Lucas didn't want to go solo so he was was with a hot chick.

Lucas' accomplishment

Lucas just started Kindergarten and he also completed the 1st grade Hooked on Phonics.  He is becoming a great reader and I have really enjoyed teaching him.  I am so proud of him and I love this little boy!
